a fuckin' luv ya!

my new favourite tv series. go watch MISFITS!!

seriously one of the best things i have seen lately. the story is about a bunch
of young adults who recently comitted a crime and therefore have to attend
community service. then, on their first day, a huge storms comes up, and all
of them get struck by lightening. afterwards they soon discover that they have
evolved super powers. this might sound like a ridiculous story, yet, but i tell
you i haven't been this entertained for full 40 minutes of episodes, for a long
time. at first there is this gorgeous british accent most frequently spoken by
kelly (who always reminds me to little britians vicky pollard.) then we have
nathan who is currently homeless to due his mother who kicked him out for
the crime he comitted. but nevertheless he doesn't seem to give a shit about
his current situation and always is a hilarous tough-talker. you gotta live him!
and then there is simon, the shy lone wolf who listens to 80ies post punk and
just desperately wants to be accepted by his social environment but always
ends up as the fool.
all this hilariousness is rounded down by an awesome soundtrack (the opening
credits with a song by the rapture f.e.). and it also made me rediscover
drum & bass!

here's my current favourite song from the series.

Adele - Hometown Glory (High Contrast Remix) by Timmy :)

the friendly ghost.

this is a new british tv series about a haunted house called marchlands. it tells the story
of three families that lived in the same house over several decades, the 1960ies, 1980ies
and in 2010. they sooner or later all get connected by alice, the little daughter of ruth
and paul, who resided in marchlands in the 1960ies. they loose their daughter due to a
tragical accident where alice gets lost in the woods and drowns in the nearby lake.

i recently started to watch the series, by now there are 3 episodes and although i expected
a bit more spookieness, the show still gets me in line. lets see how it develops.

unfortunately i couldn't find an official trailer, but here's a tv feature that should do it, too!

motioning.

i thought about sharing some thoughts about the books i am currently reading.
the first book is going to be this one:

DANIEL GLATTAUER - GUT GEGEN NORDWIND / LOVE VIRTUALLY

(german and english versions)

about the book:
"It begins by chance: Leo receives emails in error from an unknown woman called Emmi. Being polite he replies, and Emmi writes back. A few brief exchanges are all it takes to spark a mutual interest in each other, and soon Emmi and Leo are sharing their innermost secrets and longings. The erotic tension simmers, and it seems only a matter of time before they will meet in person. But they keep putting off the moment - the prospect both excites and unsettles them. And after all, Emmi is happily married."

my thoughts:
I bought this book, toghether with some others, at the fleamarket. i had heard of it before, put it on my to-read list, but never felt like buying it first hand. it is a quick read (about 200 pages) and i would have probably read it in one go, but unfortunately didn't have the time. so, yes this book is quite good. i recommend it to everyone who is interested in the development of emotions and expectations that can grow in our modern world wide web generation where the internet has become incredibly indispensable. i quickly was able to identify myself with boths protagonists, because, yes, i've been there. twice. (sort of) in the end i felt quite unsatisfied, but in a good way. i wanted to know how will their lifes go on, so much about how captivating that story was written to me. and yes! today i saw, there is a sequel! i am excited to read that one!

the whole truth.

i want to use the opportunity a public platform like this offers, to introduce you to some friends of mine, who make some fine music. at first there is a collective called UEKI (former MISS UEKI) that develops music by sending unfinished tunes via mail back and forth through the internet as by now the members of the band live in two different cities, munich and berlin. in general, it's a very open project, as the band puts up every track to their website, so other interested musicians are able to make remixes of the original songs.

here are some links to give you more information:
http://blog.missueki.de/
http://ueki.bandcamp.com/

and here is something to watch and listen to:

Ueki vs. Harinezumi from fiesefalle.de on Vimeo.

the other person i want to introduce is CARLOS CIPA who plays piano and composes
film scores. there is nothing much left to say, as i think the music is convincing for itself:
